When Food Noise Disappears

As someone who has been taking GLP-1 medications for over a year now, and also works with clients who are taking them, one theme I've noticed is the experience of grief that goes along with the changed relationship with food. I tell people I feel like food broke up with me! I'm still searching for that feeling that certain foods once used to elicit and it just isn't coming. In speaking to others who are taking the medications, the question, "Is this what normal people feel like when they eat?," is constantly asked.
In the coming weeks and months I will be releasing a series of videos, podcasts, and a curriculum to further explore how to navigate the changed relationship with food when food noise goes away, foods no longer produce the feelings we are seeking, socializing feels stressful and confusing, and we have to develop new strategies for engaging and coping with emotions. I will also be starting a virtual support group to further the conversations and create a community around these issues. If these topics speak to you, I hope you'll consider joining me.
